Future audio smart speaker

Future smart speakers will be more than just stand-alone devices for audio use. Because flat-panel TVs are thinner and lighter, meaning smaller speakers are needed, which will have a negative impact on TV sound. Therefore, sound bars that enhance the sound of flat-panel TVs will become increasingly popular. Adding speech recognition is clearly the next step in the development of sound bars.

To achieve this vision, smart sounders will need to include a set-top box for wireless video streaming, while only one HDMI cable is connected to the TV, and the TV is used as a huge display. Because flat-panel TVs are thinner and lighter, TV control lines and power supplies can also be implemented in smart sound bars. Then, smart speakers and smart sound bars will compete to become hubs for the entire home entertainment system. With the addition of home automation connections, these devices will also compete as smart hubs for smart homes.

Another new feature is the smart speaker display. Adding a display to a smart speaker is a natural extension of its functionality. Just as car consoles continue to add display consoles, consumers also demand that home information/entertainment devices provide an additional visual experience. What we can also see is that the content is requested and displayed differently than the handheld smartphone or tablet experience. Since voice commands are the primary mode for requesting content and control, we will need to use simplified search and control applications to help get accurate results quickly. In addition, we can simplify the displayed image, reducing the need for touch interaction, while also providing an oversized image for long distance viewing.

This will provide clear visual content that allows consumers to experience a more enjoyable experience when interacting with smart speakers.

With this new display feature, the smart speakers can be placed in the living room in a smart sound bar to focus on areas outside the living room. Smart speakers offer a small personal display, from an integrated LCD screen to a large, ultra-short-range HD projection (using TI’s DLP technology to create a large display on any surface). Smart devices in high-traffic areas, such as kitchens or living rooms, need to be more aesthetically pleasing and undisturbed. Adding a flat panel display that is the size of a tablet or larger does not always meet these standards. Projection display technology provides a more interactive experience when users get information through smart speakers, such as weather, cooking, traffic, etc., as well as expressing expressions on anonymous sounds.
